Dr. Deepshikha Chandravanshi, an accomplished ENT surgeon, founded Stray Keepers in 2021, during the challenging days of the pandemic, driven by her deep concern for the well-being of stray animals. Having grown up surrounded by dogs, she had always nurtured a compassionate bond with them. While she had long dreamed of opening a shelter home for strays, it was the tragic loss of her beloved adopted dog, Whiskey, that truly galvanized her into action.
Adopted during her post-graduation years, Whiskey was more than just a pet—she was family. Unfortunately, Whiskey’s life was cut short due to a road accident, a heartbreaking event that opened Dr. Deepshikha’s eyes to the dangers that strays face daily on the streets. Witnessing this loss made her realize the vulnerability of street animals, who are at constant risk of accidents and harm.
Determined to make a difference, she took it upon herself to protect them from such fate. She founded Stray Keepers, where one of the first initiatives was the introduction of reflective collars for strays, aimed at enhancing their visibility at night and preventing accidents. The initiative quickly gained momentum, with Dr. Deepshikha being joined by like-minded friends and colleagues, Dr Awantika and Dr Monika, who shared her passion for animal welfare.
She has made it her mission to provide a safety net for animals in distress. Focused on rescuing and rehabilitating sick and injured animals, the organization has brought hope and healing to countless lives.

Although one day, a sick dog on her campus desperately needed immediate attention. This situation led her to connect with Dr. Deepshikha, a fellow animal advocate. Together, they worked tirelessly to rescue the dog, and in the process, formed a strong friendship rooted in their shared love for animals.

A computer science graduate who traded coding bugs for the ever-evolving chaos of digital marketing (because fixing algorithms is easier than making). By profession, she’s a growth-driven marketer, but by heart, she’s a full-time hooman to countless strays.
Her animal love story started in school when she snuck food from her tiffin to feed a stray dog. College meant more dogs, and a paycheck meant full-fledged care—feeding, vet visits, vaccinations, and endless tail wags. And yes, sometimes she blends her two passions, crafting pawsome content on dogs and their hoomans!
